Gordon Brown signals super-casinos review
Prime Minster Gordon Brown said today that the British government will be reviewing the super casino plans.
The announcement came during Prime Minster’s question time today when Brown said that plans for Vegas style super-casinos on British soil would be “a subject of reflection” and that there may be “better ways” to provide regeneration to poorer parts of the country.
It’s thought that a report on the effects of gaming, due out in September this year, will add further weight to Browns decidedly unenthusiastic view of super-casinos.
As widely expected by the industry, Brown may seek to undo Blair’s enthusiastic, albeit, bungling approach to super-casinos.
