Ronaldo’s hair-raising bet with Ferguson
After winning a £400 bet with manager Alex Ferguson last season after banging in 17 premiership goals last season, Manchester United winger Christian Ronaldo has now stepped up the stakes.
This time he is putting his hair on the line.
Ronaldo, voted the PFA Player of the Year last season, will shave his hair off if he fails to score 20 Premiership goals next season – but if he does, manager Alex Ferguson will have to shave his off.
Apparently, Ronaldo has been joking with friends that he will be able to give Ferguson some “serious hairdryer treatment” – like that which Ferguson reserves for underperforming players at the half-time teamtalk.
"Ronny is really confident. He spends a lot of time on his hair so wouldn’t put it at risk lightly,” a source told The Sun newspaper.
