The Queen wins lottery!
It seems to us that luck favours the fortunate rather than the brave. If it wasn’t enough that a man who was already a millionaire scooped £26.5 million on the EuroMillions lottery, the Queen has now won the lottery.
The Fox Primary School lottery that is.
Teachers and children were stunned when they discovered that it was Queen Elizabeth II who had won the school’s raffle, winning the jackpot prize of two bars of soap and bath oil.
The Queen bought tickets for the lottery when children of a courier at Buckingham Palace visited the school in London’s trendy Notting Hill.
"This is not the first time the queen has taken part in raffles," a Buckingham Palace source told The Sun newspaper.
"Like most people she thinks they are a bit of fun and a great way to raise money."
At least we know the queen will be smelling nice the next time she goes on her state visits.
