Asian Playtech deal with Stanley Ho?

Playtech have revealed that they have signed a three-year deal with one of Asia’s largest online gaming firms to provide poker and specialist player-to-player games to the Asian market.

As yet, the identity of the Asian company remains unknown with Playtech refusing to divulge the full details. But Stanley Ho, the Macau casino magnate and the most dominant gaming figure in Asia, could be a likely contender (or his daughter Angela Ho) with the and online gaming products.

Regardless of who the deal is with, Playtech expect the deal to be worth approximately $5 million in the first year.

"I have seen some (analyst) estimates that we feel confident with that it will be worth $4-5 million in revenue in 2008," Chief Executive Mor Weizer revealed.

The deal will see Playtech providing popular Asian games such as Do-Di-Zhu, Cho-Da-Di and 13-card poker. More games are planned for next year.

As a result of the deal, Playtech is now valued at approximately £800 million.
