Microgaming pushes forward
One of industries biggest and oldest casino software providers Microgaming has announced a swath of new operator sign-ups for the year so far. In what is seen as a potential record breaking year, the company has added over 15 new poker and casino operations to its portfolio during the first nine months of 2006 alone.
It’s an announcement that differs massively from Microgaming’s previous strategy.
Previously it was hardly signing any new operators, despite many companies wanting to work on their award winning gaming platform. It’s thought that the current ban on online gambling in the US has prompted a rethink and 2006 will be a record breaking year as Microgaming signs up more operators outside the US. Territories such as Europe and Asia are becoming increasingly important if any operator or vendor is to survive the current ban.
Microgaming declined to release a full list of new operators but did release nine including BetonBet, Betway, CasinoShare, Gamebookers, Grand Monaco, Leisure and Gaming and TellPoker.
