UK Lottery in the sights of Intralot
Intralot, the Greek-based international lottery operator, looks certain to make a bid for the UK National Lottery license. The operator already runs lotteries in the US, China and Malaysia and has a 100% track record of acquiring licenses it sets its sights on.
The deadline for potential bidders is January 26th 2007 and Intralot are set to be joined by the current holders of the license, Camelot, along with India’s Sugal & Damani. The National Lottery Commission would like to see Camelot challenged for the license, to put to bed rumours that Camelot is enjoying an unfair advantage as the current holders of the license.
Tattersal’s, the Australian lottery based firm, pulled out of any future bid earlier this month citing similar reasons.
