Attention London! £2.2 million lottery ticket unclaimed
A £2.2 million National Lottery jackpot remains unclaimed this morning, as it has done for the past three months, with Lotto organiser Camelot urging players in London to check old tickets.
The winning ticket, with the numbers 4, 6, 11, 17, 31, 41 and worth £2,214,747, was bought in Ealing, west London, on august 29. Players have 180 days to claim their prize before their prize money goes toward the National Lottery good causes.
The last six months in London alone has seen over £2.6 million in lottery prize money remaining unclaimed.
"Across the UK there is a total of £12,858,684.70 in unclaimed prizes at present, and Londoners seem to be among the most forgetful,” said a spokesman for Camelot.
"It's amazing that at this time of year lottery players are not checking their tickets."
So London, check your old tickets and you could have a very Merry Christmas!
