First legal UK poker club to open today
The first legal poker club in Britain is due to open in Nottingham today.
Rob Young, managing director of Dusk Till Dawn, was granted a casino licence in September and cannot wait to get the doors open.
He said: "It's been a long struggle but it's been worth it. The club is looking great and I know the poker community are going to love it."
Demand for the club has been so high that all events sold out straight away. The opening weekend main-event on December 1 is eagerly awaited, with a long-list of experienced professionals.
"I never had any doubts that we would sell all our seats for the opening weekend. We can't rest on our laurels now though as the real challenge is to make Dusk Till Dawn the best club in Europe and keep players coming through our door over the years to follow,” said Simon Trumper, Live Poker director.
Dusk Till Dawn’s online counterpart, DTDPoker.com, will also allow players to buy-in to events online and then simply turn up with ID and take their seat at the tables.
