Eurovision Song Contest 2007 Betting
On the eve of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki, many people aren't looking much further than Eastern Europe to find the winner.
Ukraine are current 4/1 favourites at Coral with Verka Serduchka’s song “Dancing Lasha Tumbai”. They are closely followed by Belarus at 5/1, represented by Koldun with Work Your Magic, and Serbia also at 5/1 with Marija Serifovic’s Molitva.
If you think Scooch, with their cheesy pop tune “Flying the Flag for You” can take away the Eurovision crown from last years winners, Finland, then you can get 33/1 for them to win for the United Kingdom for the first time since 1997 when Katrina and the waves won in Ireland. But after the United Kingdom’s dismal performances in the last few contests, don’t hold your breath.
You can actually get 12/1 with PaddyPower for the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland to get ‘Nil Points’ this year.
As usual, Terry Wogan will host the show, doubtless giving his usually derisive opinion on the acts. The show starts at 20:00 on BBC One.
