EuroMillions £95m jackpot could be biggest lottery win ever
If one lucky person walks away with Friday’s entire £95 million jackpot on the EuroMillions, Lottery organisers claim it will be the world’s biggest lottery pay-out.
Bigger prizes have been won in the U.S, but the actual payouts were smaller due to tax or winners choosing to take their win in smaller payments.
What’s more, Friday’s draw cannot rollover. If no one matches the five main number plus the two star numbers, then the jackpot will be spread amongst those at the next prize level.
UK players have their fair share of luck when it comes to the EuroMillions. Angela Kelly, from Glasgow, Scotland, won £35 million last year on the draw. An anonymous Brit also won £26.5 million just weeks after Kelly’s win – although it later emerged he was already a millionaire!
Anyway, we’re off down the newsagents to buy some tickets...
