eCOGRA new board member

eCOGRA, the independent regulatory body for player protection in the online gambling industry, has appointed Bill Henbrey as a new independent director on the board. The appointment underlines eCOGRA’s determination to ensure the online gaming industry is as safe and fair as possible.

Bill Henbrey has great experience within the leisure and gaming industry, totalling over 30 years, and has recently retired from his position as head of the betting & gaming and leisure & hospitality with BDO Stoy Hayward in London.

Mr Henbrey’s calibre is unquestioned and was named "Best Business Adviser to Growing Businesses" by the CBI and Real Business magazine in 2000.

Henbrey is excited by his new challenge, looking forward to the challenges he will face as the online gaming industry comes under the spotlight.

“I am delighted to be joining eCOGRA at the very time when online gaming standards and conduct are under immense scrutiny,” Henbrey said. “This
is an opportunity for me to assist the industry to raise its performance levels and ensure  the highest degree of commitment to fair and responsible gaming”.

eCOGRA CEO Andrew Beveridge is equally delighted by Henbrey’s appointment.

"We are very fortunate to secure the experience and commitment of such an accomplished financial executive for the eCOGRA Board,” enthused Beveridge.
"His expertise and impressive skills complement the high calibre regulatory and business talents of our three existing independent directors, Michael Hirst OBE, Frank Catania and Bill Galston OBE."
