eCOGRA gambling research

eCOGRA, the online gambling industry’s player protection authority, has announced that it will release the details of research it has carried out into the behaviour and attitudes of online gamblers in January. The much anticipated Global Online Gambler Report will be released at the International Casino Exhibition (ICE), at Earls Court in London on Tuesday 23rd January.

The report surveyed over eleven thousand online poker and casino players and gave players the opportunity to have their say on the online gambling market and has been complemented by work from a number of focus groups in major markets.

The nature of the research reinforces eCOGRA’s endeavours to give online gamblers an audible voice within the industry and , according to eCOGRA, will provide information that will be vital for the industry if it is to continue to offer a rewarding and safe online experience.

However, eCOGRA Chief Executive, Andrew Beveridge, believes that the research may throw up some bombshells.

“The early indications show that there will be some surprises in the report and we think it will be very revealing for industry insiders and a wider public.”
