Cheltenham Festival odds
As the Cheltenham Festival kicks off today, attention turns to the popular Detroit City in the days big race, the Smurfit Kappa Champion Hurdle, as he seeks to overcome two-time winner Hardy Eustace and reigning champion Brave Inca.
The race, which is on Channel 4 and RTE at 3:15pm today, sees Detroit City at 9/4 with Paddy Power. Rival Brave Inca is at 4/1 and Hardy Eustace is closer at 3/1.
However, because of the overwhelming support for Detroit City, Paddy Power is offering another one of their great money-back specials. If your horse finishes second to Detroit City, Paddy Power will refund your single losing stake on all bets up to £200!
Looking further around the day’s races, the William Hill Trophy Handicap Chase at 16:00 sees the horse everyone is talking about for this year’s Grand National. Little Brick is the current 6/1 favourite with William Hill for the race and will be hard to look past.
Little Brick has caused a big furore in racing since it was revealed one punter put £20,000 down on the horse at odds of 100/1 with Ladbrokes for the Grand National. Ladbrokes stand to lose over £1 million if Little Brick comes in.
