English woman kicked out of casino for having big boobs
A British woman was kicked out of a casino in New Zealand for having big boobs as fellow gamblers found them ‘offensive”.
Helen Simpson, 33, from Nottingham, was wearing a low-cut top whilst playing roulette at The Christchurch Casino when a casino employee approached her and asked her to cover up or leave.
"She said I was wearing too low a top, which people found offensive," Miss Simpson said.
"I was highly embarrassed - humiliated, absolutely humiliated. There were girls at the casino wearing short skirts that I think are nothing more than belts. I feel like I've been discriminated against for having big breasts."
Simpson has since written to the casino complaining of her treatment, saying she left “discriminated and highly embarrassed”, claiming that “you don’t see women with too small boobs being criticised, do you?”
In response to Miss Simpson’s claims, Brett Anderson, chief executive of the Christchurch Casino, defended the actions of the casino employee and said he would reply personally to Miss Simpson.
"The person on duty at the time made a judgment call based on feedback," he said.
"Perhaps it could have been handled a little bit better, but these are things I'll discuss when I draft a letter. It's not so much a matter of dress code than comments were received from people. I'm not going to discuss this through the media."
