BSkyB eye 365 Media
The media giant BSkyB is said to be in advanced talks with 365 Media Group, the online gambling and sports company, about a £94 million takeover.
BSkyB are said to be offering 68p a share for 365 Media Group, who run casino websites such as the Club on the Park (formerly known as the Ritz Club Casino) and the popular network of sport websites, football365.com, cricket265.com and TEAMtalk.com
In October, the firm went through a rebranding, changing its name from Ukbetting to 365 Media Group in an effort to promote its image more ideally. Through their network of websites, they reach an audience of over nine million web users every month.
Only last month they launched 365 Digital Media, a move to implement all of their online and mobile sales operations into one body.
If BSkyb were successful, it would follow last year’s acquisition of the internet broadband provider Easynet for £211 million, as sky look to expand their existing media portfolio.
