£2m gambler now suing bookie for personal injury

Graham Calvert, the compulsive gambler who is suing UK bookmaker William Hill for £2 million in losses has now widened his claim to include damages for personal injury.

Calvert, a greyhound trainer from Houghton-le-Spring, claims that Hill’s failed in their duty of care. However, William Hill denies any wrongdoing in the matter and claim they are not legally liable for Calvert’s losses.

The case is expected to end tomorrow, with judgement reserved for a later date.
