London's Gherkin to go Green

Jackpot Joy Green Gherkin How Jackpot Joy are hoping the Gherkin will look once transformed...

London's 30 St Mary Axe building, better known as the Gherkin, is go under a huge transformation and be temporarily redecorate to represent its nickname.

The iconic building in the centre of London's financial district is to be wrapped in a special film in order to make it appear just like the green pickle that many Londoners fondly refer to it as.

Such a task is not going to be easy but online casino operator Jackpot Joy has vowed to give it a go after Facebook users chose the stunt in a poll. Jackpot Joy's Facebook following of more than 15,000 people were given several options to choose from as the online gambling operator looked to follow up on their previous stunt.

The stunt in question took place on 11 December 2012 and many Londoners will have taken notice as a giant rubber duck was placed in the Thames. This gained significant attention from media and by-passers alike as traffic was temporarily stopped around Tower Bridge in order to let the duck through.

Despite their previous experience in crazy PR stunts, this latest task isn't going to be easy for Jackpot Joy. They expect a ten man team to dedicate approximately 900 man hours in order to completely wrap the building in a film that will have a pickle image projected onto it. The company are hoping that the transformation will be ready for April Fools Day. To find out more about them check out our Jackpot Joy review.
