Online Fruit Machine Game Analysis
Some online casinos that offer Fruit Machines include:
|Littlewoods Casino||The Gaming Club||Intercasino|
Finally they're here! Proper, no nonsense fruit machines just like the ones you'll find in any proper, British pub, taxi rank or kebab shop. Congratulations to Littlewoods Casino, Intercasino and William Hill for getting in their first and launching Super Slide Show and Fruit Fight. Whilst we imagine these great fruit machines to be the first of many and may need some tweaking, we think you'll find these machines provide a more satisfying gaming experience for our UK players than the regular US style slot machines, all that's missing is the warm beer and greasy kebab. The new games feature all the popular aspects of a real pub fruit machine including nudges, holds and feature games. Extend your game play to win cash prizes by moving further up the cash ladder, choosing to collect your winnings or guess if your next spin will be higher or lower than your current score to move and up the cash ladder.
For the Fruit Machine virgins amongst you here's the lowdown:
There are generally three reels, traditionally displaying symbols such as fruit (you'd never guess) numbers, and gold bars and 7's. Now however fruit machines are generally themed. Whatever the symbols the aim of the game is to get three of a kind across the middle row - generally there is no multi line slots style feature. All symbols pay from left to right in consecutive order as with standard slots.
Firstly press start to spin the reels. If you get three in a row you can opt to collect your winnings or to gamble on a bigger cash prize by going through to the cash ladder. You climb the cash ladder by using the Hi/Lo buttons, the more you get right, the higher you climb and the more you can win. For example, on Littlewood's Super Slide Show 25p stake fruit machine you can climb from £1 to £500 if you can guess Hi/Lo correctly 7 times on the run. One wrong guess however and you are back at square one and loose your stake.
To add to your chances of winning that big jackpot, most Fruit Machines include a features board, set out like a children's board game with prizes and forfeits on every square. These boards are triggered if you get a specific three of a kind. The steps along the board may give you an extra spin, double your money on the cash ladder or make you go back a few spaces.
Nudge and Hold buttons on Fruit Machines
Not lucky enough to get three of a kind? This is where the nudge and hold buttons come into play. After a good spin that's not quite good enough to get you to the cash ladder or features board you may be awarded 2-4 nudges. Each nudge allows you to move any reel down by one symbol, hopefully allowing you to nudge your way to three of a kind. Hold, in case you hadn't guessed allows you to hold one or two of the reels while spinning the others; this is handy if you have two of a kind and a re looking for that number three that will result in a payout. Note: be sure to check the pay table!
Launched in late Nov 2004, the only true Fruit Machines out there are powered by Cryptologic. Many others will claim to be Fruit Machines but really are just basic slots lacking in special features. We think the Fruities are going to be huge so the likes of Microgaming and Playtech are bound to have their own versions in development. We will keep you informed.
