In addition to all of its existing online and mobile products, Microgaming has now created a range of games that have been created specifically for Android phones.
The software provider’s website said that the launch was a result of the desire to enhance its casino offering and added that they felt that these new games were innovative and groundbreaking new products. The new games are available on Android v2.2 Froyo devices that have Adobe Flash 10.1 installed.
Head of casino for Microgaming, Mike Hebden, added: “Android has more momentum than any other platform and is driving the increased sales of smartphones.”
Analysts Gartner certainly agree with this sentiment as they predict that Android will be the most popular mobile operating system by 2014, beating iPhone, Blackberry and Windows Mobile devices. Android games will now also be available through Microgaming’s mobile partner Spin3.
Microgaming casinos are free to begin offering the new Android services as and when they please, but with the increased popularity of such services, it surely won’t be long until casinos such as Spin Palace, 32Red and Ladbrokes jump on the Android bandwagon.
